The San Nicola Day, 6 December, is the beginning of the Italian Christmas season. Starting from December 8 (the Festa dell’Immacolata) Italians arrange presepio, decorate the Christmas tree and pay visits to relatives and friends. Inspired by coming Christmas our chef Adelaide prepared a whole line of new sweets for O’Cafe: struffoli (honey soaked tiny biscuits with bits of orange, tangerine rind and candied fruit) and chocolate biscuits mostaccioli – traditional Neapolitan Christmas sweets, anise anici, farcitini (with blackberry jam and chocolate) and Sicilian cannolo with creamy ricotta.
